Betty and the Rubble

Betty and Rubble formed in early 2022 when several well seasoned Minnesota musicians came out of the pandemic with longing for a new original project.  The band consists of primary singer/songwriter Janel Hurtado on vocals and guitars, James Rechs on guitars and backing vocals, Tom Lyseng on drums, and Ryland Nelsen on bass.  They released an EP in June 2023 and have worked up a collection of covers ranging from Veruca Salt to Jenny Lewis to the Beatles and Florence and the Machine.  B n' R bring an optimistic and up beat energy to their music, recalling the feel good sounds of the Go Go's or the Bangles.
